Menu : Kolak Pisang
is a traditional Indonesian dessert made with bananas, coconut milk, and palm sugar. It’s sweet, creamy, and often enjoyed during Ramadan or Rainy season but it also can be eaten year-round.

Here's how you can make it:

Ingredients:
4 ripe bananas (preferably the type used for desserts, like Pisang Raja)
200 ml coconut milk
100 grams palm sugar (or brown sugar as a substitute)
1-2 pandan leaves (optional, for fragrance)
2-3 cups water
A pinch of salt
2 tablespoons of sugar (optional, depending on sweetness preference)

Instructions:
Prepare the Bananas:
Peel and cut the bananas into thick slices or chunks, depending on your preference.
Make the Syrup:
In a pot, add the palm sugar, sugar (if using), and watery cooconut milk.
Stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves completely. You can also add pandan leaves at this stage for fragrance.

Cook the Bananas:
Once the syrup is boiling, add the banana slices and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the bananas become soft but not mushy.

Add the Creamy Coconut Milk:
Lower the heat and pour in the coconut milk. Stir gently to combine. Let it simmer for another 3-5 minutes.
Final Touches:
Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness by adding more sugar if needed. Add a pinch of salt to balance the sweetness.
Serve:
Serve the Kolak Pisang warm or chilled. You can also add some tapioca pearls, green beans , or jackfruit for extra texture, but the classic version is just bananas in coconut milk.
